Using just his voice and guitar, singer-songwriter Dean England adds his own punch to old-school blues. Rhythmic guitars and motifs accentuate his soulful melodies, providing a nostalgic taste of stripped rock n’ roll.
Dean England sat down with The Outer Void to share his influences and new music:
What have you been up to during the pandemic?
Well I have a New EP out called Feel Think Do. I have been promoting this and kept busy with interviews and live streams on Facebook.
Has the lockdown impacted your songwriting this year in any way?
Not really. It has impacted the recording side of things though. I am dying to get back into the studio for my new record.
What’s your favorite show you’ve ever played?
I played at Thornes Park Music Festival one year! In front of a 2k plus crowd. It was the best 45 minutes of my life!
If you could tour with any band/artist, who would it be?
Guns and Roses. 100% my favorite band.
What 2020 album would you recommend to someone who believes there’s no good new music?
The Foals are a great band. With a cool style that I enjoy. I am not sure of there 2020 releases but I do like the style.
What are your plans for 2021?
The first single will be out this year. It’s called Blues, Soul and Rock and Roll. I am very excited about this one and can’t wait to get in recorded.
