Adelyn release new single “Blessings”

The new alternative rock duo from London, Adelyn, have released their second single, “Blessings” (follow-up to their debut single “Reverie”). The band consists of YouTuber Christina Rotondo on vocals and Ali Marshall on guitars and production. Although Rotondo is mostly known for her luminous yet fiery solo covers of rock and post-hardcore songs, her voice is brought to its full enlivening potential in a full-band sound context.

Marshall plays technical, soulful riffs and progressions that act as the perfect support to Rotondo’s gleaming vocals and fluorescing melodies. The ominous lyrics pull you in further with despondent lines such as “I can’t keep up this fight I’m proud / Willing to admit that I might be found / Failing, self-sabotaging, burning my eyes / It’s agonizing dying inside.” The melodically ambitious guitars accentuate the fervor sincerity of the vocal harmonies especially when she sings “Will you count your blessings on one hand? / ‘Cause I’ll always find a way to bite the hand that feeds me / I’m great at it, cutting my teeth out.”

Adelyn are currently working on their debut EP, so stay in touch for more. Until then, their two singles can be streamed on Spotify and Apple Music.
